Your Logbook Online: Where It Lives and Who Sees It
Putting a logbook online raises fair questions about where the records go and who can look at them.
Logmaster is an NHVR approved EWD that stores each driver's work diary in the cloud, with location captured only at entries and nothing shared without permission.
A written diary is one booklet with carbon copies. If it's lost, wet or burnt, the history goes with it, and the driver has to report it and start supplementary records.
Online records solve that, but only if drivers trust what happens to their data once it leaves the phone.
Logmaster: Cloud Records With Clear Limits
Each entry is saved on the device first and then backed up to the cloud, so a lost or broken phone doesn't take the diary with it.
Location is captured only when a work or rest entry is made. In Logmaster's own words, the app does not track your movement, and data isn't shared without permission.
The platform is ISO 27001 certified for information security.
Entries sit on the device and in the cloud, so the diary survives a dropped or stolen phone.
Offline First
Out of coverage, entries are held on the device and uploaded when the signal returns.
Location Only at Entries
GPS fills in the suburb when an entry is made. Between entries, nothing is recorded.
Shared by Choice
Drivers schedule their logs to the employers and clients who need them, and nothing goes further without permission.
Three Years Retained
Records stay available for the three years record keepers have to hold them.
Certified Security
ISO 27001 certification covers how Logmaster manages information security.
What Online Records Mean for Each Role
Heavy Vehicle Drivers
Drivers keep their diary on their phone with a cloud backup, and know the app records place only at each entry they make.
Fleet Managers and Record Keepers
Record keepers see drivers' entries in the web portal as they sync, without waiting for sheets or chasing lost booklets.
Transport Business Owners
Owners get records held under ISO 27001 controls and kept for the three years the rules require.
Cloud Records Trusted by 1,200+ Businesses
More than 1,200 businesses keep their drivers' work diaries online with Logmaster, including Greyhound Australia.
The EWD is NHVR approved and the company holds ISO 27001 certification.
Moving Your Logbook Online
Open a Logmaster account and add your drivers in the web portal.
Drivers install the app on Android 7+ or iOS 12.5.5+ devices.
Each driver sets up their profile and chooses who receives their logs.
Entries save to the device and sync to the cloud whenever there's coverage.
Record keepers view and export records from the portal when they're needed.
In Logmaster, each entry is saved on the driver's device and backed up to the cloud. The record keeper can then view it in the web portal, and the records stay available for the three years they have to be kept.
Your logs go to the employers or clients you work for, including by scheduled email. Logmaster doesn't share data without permission, and location is captured only at the moments you make an entry.
Entries already synced are held in the cloud, so the history isn't lost with the device. NHVR guidance says a lost EWD must be reported, with the driver telling the record keeper within two business days and the record keeper notifying the NHVR.
Logmaster holds ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for managing information security. Drivers' location is recorded only at entry events, which limits the personal data collected in the first place.
No. Logmaster records offline and keeps entries on the device until there's coverage, then syncs them to the cloud. Drivers carry on logging as normal in dead spots.
